FARINGDON
Historic market town in the Vale of White Horse (historically Berkshire, now Oxfordshire).
Anne Seymour moved into Wadley House, Littleworth (small village 2 miles from town) following her marriage to Edward Unton in 1555.
Anne Seymour buried at All Saints' Church, in the town, following her death in 1588.
Son Sir Henry Unton built large mansion in 1590s, just north of the church.

29 Apr 1555 - Marriage between Edward Unton and ANNE SEYMOUR, widowed Countess of Warwick, at nearby Hatfield Old Church.
1572-1576 - Elizabeth I known to have made 3 visits to Sir Edward Unton in 1572, 1574 and 1576; however, academics believe Elizabeth I would have been received at home in Langley, Oxfordshire, due to ANNE SEYMOUR"s poor mental health, her residing at Wadley House.
16 Sep 1582 - Death of Sir Edward Unton at Wadley House, Littleworth; buried at All Saints' Church, Farringdon;
Oct 1582 - ANNE SEYMOUR declared as being of 'unsound mind'; remains in 'custody' of son Edward Unton at Wadley House.
Feb 1588 - Death of ANNE SEYMOUR at Wadley House, Littleworth; buried with husband Sir Edward Unton at All Saints' Church, Faringdon.
1590s - Building project commences for 'Faringdon House', a large Elizabethan mansion for Sir Henry Unton, just north of All Saints' Church, Faringdon ; is later completely destroyed in a fire in the 1760s, and rebuilt on a new site.
