Known to be a place of business for Edmund Dudley, until downfall following death of Henry VII in 1509.

c.1505 - Lady Elizabeth Lytton, grandmother to EDMUND DUDLEY's daughter Elizabeth Dudley (mother of his first wife Anne Windsor) moves into Candlewick Street, on death of her second husband Sir Robert Lytton of Knebworth, Keeper of the Great Wardrobe and Privy Councillor. 

c.1507 - Birth of Andrew Dudley, second son to Edmund Dudley and Elizabeth Grey, likely at Candlewick Street.

c.1509 - Birth of Jerome Dudley, third son to Edmund Dudley and Elizabeth Grey, likely at Candlewick Street. 


22 Apr 1509 - Arrest of EDMUND DUDLEY from home in Candlewick Street, following death of Henry VII the previous day; is taken to Tower of London. Wife ELIZABETH GREY is forced to flee with her three young children and ?stepdaughter Elizabeth Dudley (no evidence of children or women's belongings in inventory taken)
