28 Jan 1547 - Death of Henry VIII; ascension of 9yo cousin as king EDWARD VI, with father EDWARD SEYMOUR quickly nominated as Head of the Regency Council ('Lord Protector').

Sep 1548 - Death of KATHERINE PARR, aunt by marriage to uncle THOMAS SEYMOUR; their newborn daughter is sent initially to the care of the Seymours at Syon House.

17 Feb 1588 - Burial of ANNE SEYMOUR at All Saints' Church, Faringdon; burial is attended by daughter-in-law Dorothy, to whom eulogy is addressed.

1596 - Death of son Sir Henry Unton; widow Dorothy Unton commissions portrait 'Sir Henry Unton', which portrays ANNE SEYMOUR in role as his mother, as well as highlighting her Seymour ancestry.
